The Business and about me

Computing by Inches

Computing By Inches was started in 2007 following my experiences in tech support and customer services with a national company. But I have been fixing desktop and laptop computers, initially for family and friends for about (WOW!) 30 years.

My main skills are working out what is causing problems and fixing them, but I am also happy to help you understand computers too if you want to learn. You are welcome to watch everything I do, often learning new ways to use the computer this way, and I will describe everything without trying to confuse you with jargon

For small businesses I am happy to advise on all aspects of IT, from training staff to upgrading your systems and getting both older equipment and new to work, getting a website to help advertise your business and how to use social media as well. I am not tied to any specific method for anything and am flexible enough to help you accomplish your goals.

Many of my customers think of me as their "Computer Guru".

Linda Dunwell

I started learning about computers in my last year at secondary school, one of the optional subjects available was the first ever computer class offered.

Those first lessons were all about using DOS to program a simple image of a Christmas tree and then printing it out as a "Christmas card". However I soon Learned that I was hopeless at programming...But was very good at working out what had gone wrong and then fixing the problem.

So I started off playing with computers, built this into a skill and eventually starting a business, and every day I learn more.

Please call me on 07717217773 or email me for any help or advice with any aspect of computers or other technology. If I don't know an answer I will do my best to find out and let you know.
